Digital Journalism Summer Academy, Global Girl Media
The fifth Global Girl Media UK Summer Academy, brought together a group of ten teenage girls to learn the foundations of digital video journalism. The course, covered both theory and practice, including how to source and pitch a story, civic activism, camera operating and interview techniques. The course included a field visit to broadcaster Thomson Reuters. Participants wrote and directed films on the issues of bullying and body image.
